I just found the single copy of this book (Typings) for sale online and snatched it up for 20 simoleons...in this economy and dire straits ugh! but could not resist...my first "discretionary income" purchase in many, many weeks but probably didn't show discretion in doing so...the poetry gods will provide I'm sure...somehow they always do...kickbacks to Helicon...that's the secret....

I figure my concrete poetry collection needed a new addition. I know he works in that modality quite a bit to beautiful ends.

Here's Ashbery's review of the same...

at Gavin Brown's Enterprise (his represenatation). This includes a biography which is actually a very thorough c.v. with good avenues of research pointed out...

And the much-missed kari edwards cites "Mr Bojangles" by Christopher as her favorite poem of all time...read her poetry here too at the Mipoesias site...wonderful work...

I am going to fly up there and teach you how to embed a link... LOL! All this cutting and pasting! Oh, my aching drumming fingers!

I love these alert paintings. Why didn't I think of that? Now I have to go think of something really creative, like Jell-O colored flavored alerts in tall Jell-O glasses. And you made me!

I made you some Jello:

I'm lazy. I'm sick. I know how to do the links but my blogger thing (the button which is supposed to provide the HTML) is broken.

Seriously.

So I always have to cut and paste the HTML from other entries.

Sometimes I don't feel like it.

Consider it an endurance test.

I'm making you into Olympians.

I'm Bela Karolyi (sp?) or something.

Loves the jello, thanks!

My appetite sucks with the cold.

Feed a cold. Starve a fever.

But my craving for chocolate did return today, so I think I'm rounding the bend.

I'm such a baby.

Did you know they are trying to rip us off now and Hershey's is producing "mockolate" (i.e. fake chocolate).

I think if anything should stir Americans to a bloody revolution, it's that...

I will be like that bare-breasted Liberty babe in the painting...

and i don't live that far from Hershey at all...it's just a ten minute drive down 322 ("the Hershey highway hehe) and I'm THERE!"

Wait for me and I will ride to Hershey with you... I will bring my six-shooter and we can hijack the plant. How dare those bastards muck up our chocolate with mockolate!!! I noticed Hershey's going downhill a long time ago, though. When I was a teenager, I used to get in bed to read under the covers with my books and a half-pound Hersey bar and eat and read, eat and read. Mmmmmm! And I stayed skinny as a rail. But they don't make them now like they did back then. Last year I started buying only dark chocolate only made by other companies because I can't stand the watered-down mockolate anymore. Dark chocolate is better for you healthwise, anyway. One square of dark chocolate a day is a SUPERFOOD! (You just have to stick to the one square per day... LOL!)

Did you notice, too, when they started making the candy bars smaller and the plastic packages bigger? I'm not kidding. Those paper wrapped Hershey's bars used to be THICK. Not like those trimmed on all sides bars they got now.

Hehe, yes I love the SPECIAL DARK bar because it's not changed.

Lee doesn't know how I can eat it. He's horrified by that type of chocolate.

Lee loves white chocolate, as do his kids.

I can tolerate white chocolate but it's so strange...it's another universe really...

Dark chocolate has an almost tannin-rich quality that melts off at the edges..it's almost like tea or wine at the edges...strangely delicious astringent quality that the sweetness encloses...

I'm off to the tub now...

Right after I practice pulling my shirt down below my breasts in the mirror to see how I most look like Lady Liberty in that painting...is that Delacroix?

I want to look good for the Mockolate Crusade....
