This reminded me of one of my favorite episodes in Doonesbury, when Honey is rooming with J.J. She's been out with some boys but comes home early.

"They called me a communist!" says Honey indignantly.

"Well... but you are a communist, aren't you?" replies J.J.

"Yes, but they made it sound so dirty!"
