Hi Caleb Cluff!

Hehe, I have no excuse for being awake.

I saw you just posted a comment on your poem I talked about waaaaay back.

But I suppose you do have an excuse for being up. It's probably late afternoon Down Under.

Thanks for the comment. I posted that poem of yours ages ago, but I'm glad you found it!

It is a great poem and I understand why it appealed to children as well.

I try to write about children's lit fairly often, as I love so much of it.

I love Roald Dahl's books, but more and more I hear how horrible he was as a human being and I feel weird reviewing or promoting him. He was a bitter anti-Semite. The books aren't always exactly innocent anyway. How about the one where the weird granny tries to frighten her grandson into believing she's a witch. And then he poisons her. That's pretty creepy for a kid's book. That's not the formula!

Anyway, for those of you who don't know who Caleb Cluff is, you can see him in the Australian film classic Chopper.

That is a righteous movie, Caleb. That's like being in Gone with the Wind or The Godfather. I get a lot of hits from people all over the world researching that film!

Eric Bana was truly frightening in that. I haven't followed his career. Has he continued to be the Australian DeNiro? I did see him on a cover of a GQ here a while back. Has he gone Hollywood?

I really loved your film and did a sort of capsule review of it here on the blog ages ago. I should go back and see if editing is needed though.

You were great in that, Caleb, in the interrogation scene!

Cheers and more.

If you blog, send me a link. I'm not on the Buffalo listserv anymore.
