i like this artist...

as you may or may not have noticed i have a feed of constant art on my little boxy thing..

sometimes i just have to click because i fall in love with one of these "three second" paintings or drawings...

this artist does it for me...i have no idea who this is...

there's lot of really primitive great shit there i think...take art brut and dumb it down more...preschool it...and it will probably work for me...let's get back to that caveman line...

Oh cool, I think it's a site where you go and sketch yr own art...I definitely want to try that then...

Hey, years ago I loved this site of animations, games, drawing programs, humorous features, etc. run by this guy called "Z"...I haven't been able to find it again...he had a great drawing program (I used it a lot years ago!) and he sometimes shared commercial work he had been commissioned to do, and sometimes just created interactive things for the site's fans...he was awesome...it was a hugely popular site...but I don't have it in my links and can't find it! He was this cute, brill guy who just had an awesome site! Does anybody know if he's still around and, if so, where he is?? I want to play with that drawing program again!

"Tamela," (jerri blankism)....i particularly love the horrid "corrections" made....

this is probably truly a kid and not a nyc portfolio-schlepper trying to dumb it down...i don't really care either way...

but the creamsicle color fields are hideously mesmerizing...in that early 80s album art way....

I would love to create a blog dedicated exclusively to the art of children (which is often as beautiful as anything I see in the museums...and I'm NOT saying that in a cavalier way...not to mock the art in museums...just to point out the continuum of visual representation is fascinating from cradle to death to me...)

But the only problem with that is the trauma I would inflict every time I "rejected" art tendered....why is little Joey not considered the next Paul Klee when little Mary clearly is...I wouldn't even wanna go there...

So no dice. But it could make for an awesome site...especially if you picked stuff that looked like sly dog soho hands had done it....it woudn't be to mock grown up artists but to show that some of this "ephemera" should really be held on to...

the genius of children is reduction and simple symbolic narratives...or should i say the charm...because their little hands get "tiwed" and they want a cookie...

i bet paul klee ate a lot of cookies.

and he's one of my favorites!
