FILM SHORT:
Shoot in black and white and film with a feel similar to the Dadaists' Ghosts Before Breakfast.
Arch. Crisp. Cereal box back matter goofy.
Man (bicyclist) in twenties attire and Greek sailor cap is always seen from behind, peddling antique European bicycle in a leisurely manner down early morning suburban streets. Winter or Early spring. Trees newly budded or bare.
Chimp is strapped to back of man and is wearing diaper and talking on a cell phone.
Everytime the man turns a corner, the film frame snaps and a new chimp appears on back. No segue. Awkward editing.
Next chimps are using in sequence: Zune, blackberry (text messaging), Collected Poems of Jackson Mac Low, watching Russian Ark, drinking a Red Bull, looking at pornography.
Each street should take approximately one and a half minutes to go down and reach the corner. The chimp should stare at the mounted camera fairly often but otherwise do what he wants.
At end of last street chimp is assisted down by man (who never turns around).
Chimp throws porno mag on the street where it is snatched up by some contemporary skatepunks sitting on the corner.
Chimp goes into cheesy device labeled TIME MACHINE and a cheesy burst of smoke and sparklers indicates he has traveled in time.
A homeless woman holds up an old timey placard that reads "in memoriam Stanley Kubrick."
She too blows up in a cheesy burst of smoke and sparklers.
This is a bad dream I just had. Sorta.
