my life
I write
and I drink ice
water with sugar
substitute in it.
That's me, a switch
hitter for sweetness.
I used to drink
tea and imagined
I needed the flavor.
Then I figured it out.
The tea was just something
dark. That's all.
I drink sugar water.
Now I aspire only
to be a hummingbird
of the Great Ethereal Absence.
The nothing there
excites me greatly.
I am well on my way
and none of you,
not one of you
will stop me.
