Adorable Angela Genusa and Barbie Dull

Two women of genius made me smile today.

Angela, because she sent me these adorable images of plushie Mothra (larval form and flying militantly, gorgeously!)

The imago form reminds me of a great Joan Danziger sculpture we had hanging in the Susquehanna Art Museum back in the day when we were nascent and still just a gallery format. People loved that. It was delicate. I kept worrying we were going to destroy it. I wonder if it survives and where it is. I think she was a D.C. based artist, but I forget. I'll Google her now.

I would buy these if I had discretionary income but all discretionary income is for alcohol or other vices.

The only cute thing I indulge in is Lee and I don't have to buy him. Yet. Lol.

Jack Kevorkian, I think I accidentally deleted one of your bitchy comments because I thought you were being bitchy at me but now I see you were being bitchy towards Cazwell.

Soz. Cazwell is too cute to let negative comments on him. He reminds me of my ex before he was civilized. When we used to live in his ghetto apartment and he talked funny like Cazwell but without the charming Massachusetts accent. Do you notice he can't even pronounce Massachusetts in the interview. It must have been that bad.

C'mere Cazwell.

Barbie Dull I am soooo sorry I forgot "your last name." But that's your persona's last name, right, not your real last name???

Don't be cross with me! I forget everything. I forget my phone number. You think I'm joking but I'm not. I remember strange things like Icelandic verbs. But I don't forget your art. That's always in my head. And in my house!

Barbie send me more art and I will post it. You are my favorite living artist or tied with one other person.

But you are more like me than the other artist.

I think.

Except if I had kids they would have ganged up on me and killed me by now.

And you are doing a great job with raising your kids and turning them into cool artists too.

You are a fantastic human being. If I could give anybody on earth a Macarthur genius grant I would give it to you.

Lee made me feel terrible last night because I said Colton Ford can't sing and he showed me an acapella video on YouTube where he performed a difficult song almost perfectly. It was a terrible video (shot through glory holes!!) but he looked good and sounded fine. One or two sour notes but that song is impossible to sing (Alicia Keys). She has trouble singing it, and she wrote it.

My Media Player is obsessed with Beach Boys tunes today and I have no idea why.

But I've been singing "Caroline, No" and the ego song covered by Frank Black all morning and I don't want to.

I like Talk Talk's different "Caroline No" better.
