I didn't (and still don't) know that Dr. Bowers is "a quack" as you write. I just thought she was a bit cavalier in her presentation of the serious surgeries.

I understand it's show biz and the show (I'm assuming now canceled) was trying to spice it up and make it all very titillating and (alas!) funny, as almost all reality shows try to do.

I did feel Dr. Bowers' intention was to help transgender individuals successfully transition into their new lives.

And if I used the incorrect pronoun in referring to transgender individuals in that post it was not intentional.

Sometimes I might have been talking about "before" as opposed to "after."

Plus, when I posted that I was not in recovery and my drinking assisted me in being an asshole quite often.

But I don't remember ever deliberately trying to insult any transgender individuals as that's never been part of any agenda I've had (even a drunken agenda).

So apologies to anyone I might have offended.

I feel a real empathy with transgender individuals and never mean to disrespect them in their often difficult struggle.

I'm posting this here since your comment was on a fairly ancient post, which I'm assuming you read recently.
