Maybe it was just my silly favorite IKEA store (White Marsh, MD) which was out of stock.
Because the MYLONIT seems to be alive and well online.
I found a question by a woman disturbed by the matte finish of the Mylonit and wanted help on lacquering one.
And then I found this even cooler adaptation made by GADGET FREAK (who should definitely submit his modified MYLONIT to IKEA HACKER!)
IKEA FANS is a great site!
Pete does a great job L.E.D.'ing up the Mylonit.
This is actually perfectly appropriate since the IKEA aesthetic embraces L.E.D. anyway.
I love my Euro-IKEA ISIG lamp! That's L.E.D.-based and quite pretty.
