Anyway, the question was answered on tonight's Antiques Roadshow.
No, it wasn't a lamp.
It was a vase. Deco style.
A really ugly vase.
Appraisal: $2,000 but I wouldn't give you ten for it.
No doubt the lamp was better.
And a book appraiser under-appraised a book by about $25,000.
I so wanted to reach through the screen and grab him by the ascot.
The funny answer about Nancy Daum is that there is no such person (although "she" is on FACEBOOK if you Google her).
Here's the truth about the non-existent Nancy Daum:
