Not Being Very Nice

Some animals were not being very nice.

Or that was the perception anyway.

This was noticed by some other animals who began to broadcast very loudly that certain animals were not being very nice.

This was spoken over an animal loudspeaker.

This was spoken into a public space where animals had been milling about and doing things which other animals considered not very nice.

The animals who were allegedly not being very nice did not consider this broadcast very nice at all, and began not being nice in other ways, in earnest.

There was a convocation that lasted a certain length of time in which the definition of "not very nice" was discussed in various philosophical and historical ways by the animals who had been accused of not being very nice.

There was a consenus reached concerning this matter.

There was a rush then towards the loudspeakers and the loudspeakers were attacked, which was an attack in effigy upon the animals who had been saying and were actually still saying now that the animals attacking the loudspeakers had been and were even now not being very nice. They said this even as the loudspeakers crashed to the earth, and then the voices of the animals saying this were suddenly reduced to reverberations in a small room and in their animal heads. And they began to look at each other as they said these things, the animals in the box that had been communicating this message into the boxless air where the other animals were. The much larger number of animals were there, outside the box of concern regarding animals not being very nice.

Shortly afterwards, the doors to the room where the animals had been broadcasting the "not very nice" message were stormed, and the animals inside the room began crying out in fear that breaking down the doors to the room which broadcast the "not very nice" warning messages was not very nice.

They were soon screaming this at the doors and through the glass parts of the doors through which they could see the animals wielding heavy objects as battering rams, and they could see this as the doors were broken through by the animals who by now clearly had further intentions of not being very nice.

The doors gave way and the animals inside turned their backs on the animals outside and were saying something about animals not being very nice at all as the entire matter became quite irrelevant and the terminology changed instantly in every dictionary, although it would take some time for the animal lexicographers to update the terminology and put certain numbers as closure dates after certain entries and certain names in the books of the animals who would surely soon reign in niceness, and enjoy the bounty of the discussion of the plenitude of their animal rightness, their animal niceness.
