John Taggart's hamadryad who also lived in Carlisle, PA.

I'm not going to tinker with the review now, but rereading it I realize I did a slight disservice to the masterful work by not discussing at more length how the archetype of the virgin is invoked, from the various hamadryads to Moore herself and even (quite humorously) a VIRGIN megastore in France at one point!

I remember loving what Taggart did with the concept of parthenogenesis in here (finding this book at a time when I was raising parthenogenetic creatures--walking sticks!) and how he believes The Poem possessed of this very capability.
