tell Apolo Ohno that he's spelling his name wrong.
True Story: Apolo's real surname is Ono. He is Yoko's love-child. But he changed the spelling of the surname to avoid the vitriol. Can you blame him? Same deal with Nathaniel Hawthorne, who added the W to avoid the connection with Judge Hathorne, who presided over the Salem Witch Trials.
We have a town named Ono about forty minutes from here.
I've visited it before.
There's no there there.
Just a couple of bad puns, like the O YES diner.
That pun's not exclusive to that diner, though, as I noticed several businesses doing that.
I suppose there are postcards somewhere.
We also have a Scotland, Pennsylvania, and I visited the school there a few times as that's my ex's alma mater.
It's a sad school. You know, one of those Dickens sorts of "schools."
But they do have homecoming and I used to go with my ex. He liked football. What can I say?
They made a movie "about" Scotland, PA, that I think was Macbeth set in a KFC or some horrible college drama department idea like that, which I think starred Christopher Walken, but I managed to avoid it.
They didn't film in Scotland, PA, and they didn't attempt to make the actual Scotland present in the movie from what I read.
Oh, and I just realized the French spell broccoli brocoli, so if you forget which sets of letters are doubled, just don't use any double letters and say you prefer the French spelling.
I'm not responsible if you get slapped.
