Sweatyballox Is/Are Often a Reason to Rejoice

Soz. Couldn't resist.

Anytime Sweatyballox on YouTube creates a new Cocteau Twins video, I'm in heaven.

This just went up today.

Thankers, SB!

I love these acoustic reinterpretations they did of their songs.

They're usually better than the original, poppier ones. (Funny to call a CT song poppy, although in that Heaven or Las Vegas period they were sure trying for Capitol Records. But I'll take anything. I'm hoping the soundtrack solicitations lately are getting them to move towards each other again. It could actually happen.)

I love the subtlety of this song, which meanders around like a mind between loves on a Saturday afternoon before shushing itself in an almost comical manner.

And all without resorting to actual words in the English language.

Imagine.

(Okay. This is one of the songs where it was easier for the lyrics obsessed people to actually transcribe the words they were pretty sure they heard. But I choose to listen to the notes and only pick or choose to hear words when I feel like it. Otherwise what else is Liz's glossalalia and lallation for? Jeez! Literalists of the imagination!)
