Did I spell her name right?
I was all stoked yesterday because I figured out a way to make Bridget Riley type paintings with the vintage Japanese image manipulation program I'm a little obsessed with.
And the coolest thing is I can take a color (or black and white---I'm going to drain the color anyway) photo and show you what you would look like as an op art Bridget Riley type painting.
So if one or more of you would send me a digital pic(s) of yourself I would be happy to do this and show you what you would look like.
But here's the thing. Send a BIG pic not a little one.
Because I don't know how to enlarge them without losing the resolution and then I lose the op art effects. I can ZOOM IN and make it larger while I'm working on it but the size foredooms it when I go to save it anyway.
It doesn't matter what you're doing in the pic or if you look your best because you will end up totally black and white geometry.
Why ask for a picture of a human at all then, you might ask?
Because I like the mystery of how it turns into geometry.
I like that the person is actually in there in some hidden way.
I'm trying to understand the logic of the transfiguration.
If you don't mind me saying it's a picture of you transfigured, I will, but if you want to remain private, I won't say your name.
If you want to help me with this series of geometricized portraits, send one or more to IceStationPoetry@aol.com
If you send anything pornographic I will enjoy it, but I will just send it on to RateMyNaughtyBits.com and link you to it so you can face the horrible or wonderful truth about yourself.
I don't know if that's a real site. I made that up.
