Here's the first attempt. There's still the ghost of a figurative element and it's neither all black/white nor fully op art like I wanted yet. It's op artish. But let me keep trying.

I dig it! It reminds me of Gustav Klimt in a way. My favorite! xo
I like these. How do you make them?
Hi Lynn.
It's an old Japanese image manipulation program I found at one of my thrift store haunts.
It has about thirty filters and these can be applied in many different permutations to alter images.
It also has layering like Photoshop but I'm too stupid to figure that out right now.
I imagine Photoshop or Photoshoppy programs have these features too.
But I love some of the vintage elements in this one that can produce such dated looking art.
Like these ones you're seeing here (which didn't really accomplish what I wanted to at ...I was going for Bridget Riley like I had gotten the other day dammit and can't get back!!) mostly look like early digital art or older paintings...when paintings started to aspire to look like computer art or when computer art aspired to look like paintings.
Painting wanting to be computer art was late sixties early seventies probably huh?
And computer art wanting to look like painting was probably late seventies or early eighties?
Kiddo, you're being very generous to say Klimit lol. I'll try again later on your pic and I STILL want to get you to Riley land but can't get there just yet. It should be easy but it's not...you're not gridding up regularly and the other pic did and I don't remember how lol.
I have a Klimt in my dining room (yeah a REAL one sure). I think it's one of his illustration for Lafcadio Hearn's marvelous ghost stories..or art inspired by them...a woman's ghost is in the center of the composition but of course a sexual ghost...and then there are little dream stories around the edges of the picture....
sort of Balinese in format without resembling Balinese art in form at all...
oh..and how does an otc person forget...???
