Lee & I Just Watched This

It's very cute.

I loved it.

Okay, it's really The Mighty Ducks on roller skates, but there are so many wonderful actors in here, and Drew did such a great job of crafting a really innocent, adorable movie.

Marcia Gay Harden is great.

I always remember her wonderful turn as Lee Krasner in Pollock.

I like seeing Juliet Lewis in anything. She's so ready for a great big movie all to herself again. Love her.

It has Drew Barrymore's sweet heart. And Ellen Page's sweet heart. All over it.

You can watch it with your kids.

It's like Disney except with a much better soundtrack.

Lots of great music all through this.

Rent it!!

Richard, I applaud your partisanship.

And your pugnacity.

Hehe.

I think you'll like it.

It's Drew Barrymore's heart drawn all around the pic.

As if we all don't know Drew Barrymore as intimately as if she grew up on our family...because she did, didn't she?

What a beautiful survivor.

She let the genes have their way and did the Barrymore nightmare from like age 8 to 12 and then said "Enough!"

And never looked back.

All those dead drunks should be damn proud.

Whenever I think of Drew, I think of that photo spread of her sitting in the grass with dandelions she stuck in her hair.

I think she loves everyone on the planet.

And it shows.

Gorgeous woman.

The only bad thing is if you are a roller derby fan you will doubtless note how "gentle" even the "rough" roller derby scenes are.

But it's very Disney.

Except a better soundtrack.

Really good soundtrack.

She snuck like forty songs in lol.
