Probably you have pornographic thoughts about what the caption says.

I was having trouble figuring it out. So I cheated. Now it makes sense.
It basically says, "A good massage on a tired back can be the difference between success and failure."
No, it wasn't "Take it bitch!" or anything like that.
Although one could pschoanalyze the reasons why someone might choose this FB pic to send.
And certainly there could be implications 'bout what type of massage we were talking about.
FACEBOOK is intrinsically warped.
As if you don't know that by now.
It breaks down like this (I won't bore you with declension talk): Good massage ("Gott" is fairly obvious, right?) "Fyrir" is "for"--again pretty obvious. The weird letter is one of the "th" sounds we have in English too. "Bak" is obviously "back." "Gerir" almost certainly matches up with the word in Old English for "make" or "do"...words which are always irregular in every fucking language on earth (Latin, French, English, Spanish, all romance tongues basically)...Okay, irregular in the western world since time immemorial. gæfu muninn is "differences in luck" (or worldly success, implied) but in opposite order. I had this wrong earlier. Munnin are "differences between (things). Gaefu is luck. Hence "the differences in 'luck'"--really, meaning success in life here. You're comfortable and relaxed from your backrub so you do well. Get it?
Or it could be open to a broader interpretation, implying seduction, I suppose. I'm not sure.
So that's the breakdown.
I could pronounce it for you in a reasonably decent Icelandic, but don't have a means of uploading my voice.
I love the sounds of spoken Icelandic. Because it's like instant time travel to the 9th century.
But spoken by an incredibly sexy people.
