Steampunk

This guy sent me a friendship invite the other day on YouTube.

He does these kinetic sculptures which are often beautiful, often funny.

This one has the title "Satisfactory."

The artist is Brett Dickins.

If you click on this clip to bring it up on YouTube, you can see eleven other examples of his work.

I love the one you can see there that opens and closes like some sort of strange sea anemone in a weird radial unfolding/enfolding.

This one I like because it seems such a parody of evaluation, testing, treading water, the zero sum game of sanity, etc.
